On Tuesday the 1st of November David Todd and Dr David Rees from Synergia presented on ‘Decision Making in Complex Systems- Practical Application of Systems Thinking and Dynamic Modelling’ as part of our #LearningSeries events.

 

The session was very informative, engaging, and practical.

It gave an introduction on how you can apply system thinking tools and techniques as well as sharing some examples of how system dynamic simulation models have been used to support change across the public sector.

David Todd covered a core set of systems thinking tools that he has used for many years including, reference behavior patterns, causal loop diagrams, and stock flow maps and Dr David Rees shared about his experience using simulation modelling to support healthcare planning and shared examples from over 20 years of application in both New Zealand and Australia.
