Angela is a Consultant with expertise in evaluation across the health and social sector. She is based in our Wellington office.
Angela is dedicated to delivering projects that support the use of evidence to inform decision making and ongoing quality improvement. She has a strong understanding of evaluation theory and design which is supported by well-rounded skills in quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods analysis. Her growing interest in economic evaluation led her to return to university to compete her Masters in Public Health with a focus on cost-utility analysis and economic evaluation in the primary mental health sector. This focus supports evaluations to answer questions about the value for money of programmes and services to inform decision making. Her strong engagement and communication skills support the sharing of information in a way that supports understanding and action.
Since joining Synergia in 2014, she has supported and led a range of projects including managing large-scale and multi-year evaluations and building evaluation capability within a youth group. Prior to joining Synergia Angela worked for the University of Auckland as a tutor for the Māori and Pacific Admissions Scheme on a range of undergraduate papers including Research Methods in Health. Angela is currently a member of the Aotearoa New Zealand Evaluation Association and has provided peer-review for Evaluation Matters – He Take Tō Te Aromatawai.
Outside of Synergia Angela can be found hiking, learning Spanish or smashing the competition on the tenpin bowling lanes.
