Shona is the Business Support Manager for Synergia based in the Auckland office
Shona has extensive business support experience across the Government Sector in New Zealand responsible for implementing organisational change, managing teams, property refurbishments and business support across multiple sites. In addition she has been a partner in transport and construction and service delivery businesses. Shona is a Toastmaster Gold, an Accredited Justice of the Peace and on the Board of SPELD NZ.
Prior to joining Synergia Shona was employed with Inland Revenue Department for 20 years working across a wide range of tax disciplines and highly involved with the implementation of Small Business Community Advisory and Maori Community Advisors then changing career direction into managing corporate administration (Property, HR, Finance, IT, Training and Change Management). Shona then moved to the NZ Transport Agency and was responsible for the Northern Region Business Support, then National Corporate Property and Procurement. Shona has worked on a number of Boards and is a long-standing Board member of SPELD NZ (Specific Learning Disabilities) where she has the Finance, Funding, Risk, Employment portfolio.
Shona commenced working for Synergia in 2017 as Business Support Manager responsible for the efficient business operations of Synergia including HR, Payroll, managing our project management system (invoicing, debtors tracking performance and client surveys) reviewing tender opportunities, proofreading tenders and reports. In addition Shona manages the general office administration.
