Zaffar is a Consultant with Synergia, he works across Synergias key offerings. He is based in our Auckland office.
Zaffar has a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Public Health. His Master’s research focussed on user centred design and how improved design can support whānau to make informed health decisions.. Prior to joining Synergia Zaffar worked as a research assistant at The National Insititute of Health within The University of Auckland.
Since joining Synergia Zaffar has supported a range of projects including service design, quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, software development and design and literature reviews. Zaffar primarily works across Synergia’s key offerings of Analytics and System Design.
Since joining Synergia, Zaffar has supported a diverse range of work where he has developed expertise in interviewing, data analysis, data synthesis, presentation, systems thinking and service design.
Zaffar’s recent work at Synergia includes; leading transcript analysis for the Royal Commission of Inquiry into Abuse in Care, supporting the evaluation into the implementation of the Ministry of Education Learning Support Coordinator role, supporting a review into DHB COVID-19 reporting requirements and supporting the evaluation of the Ministry of Health Gambling Harm Minimisation pilot. Zaffar has also worked extensively in Australia; supporting workshops for social connectedness in Hawkesbury, NSW, understanding aboriginal access to healthcare, mapping national multicultural mental health services, review of supportive and palliative care services in Neppean.
In his free time Zaffar enjoys playing football, going to the gym and running his creative business
